Islamic Clothing : Abaya and Jilbab

An Abaya is an outer garment worn by women particularly in Saudi Arabia. It is long-sleeved, floor-length, and is worn from either the shoulder or the top of the head. It is designed to hide the curves of the body. The abaya is worn with a scarf which covers the hair. Sometimes, it is also worn with a veil to hide the face.

A Jilbab is also a long and loose fitted garment worn by Muslim women. The only difference between Abaya and Jilbab is that the head is covered in Abaya with a scarf where as in Jilbab, there is nothing to cover the head.

These garments are usually worn on top of the regular clothing and is considered as a part of Islamic Clothing attire.
